The temperature has decreased a lot lately, so it has been quite complicated to leave the house. I had a day off today, but to avoid staying at home the whole day, I thought it would be nice going out for lunch somewhere new. Therefore, I went to a new place in Flagey, called Ami. It's an adorable little restaurant where they serve warm soups, sandwiches, burgers and toasts. Healthy food, with fresh quality products, perfect for a balanced diet, offering vegetarian and gluten free options as well. They have meal-deals, for instance, 1 soup + 1 little sandwich for 6.90€ That's what I had: pumpkin soup and a sandwich with tomato, grilled veggies and parmesan cheese. It was delicious! The service is very nice and quick, so it was the perfect lunch break!

A temperatura diminuiu bastante nestes últimos dias, por isso tem sido bastante difícil sair de casa. Hoje tive um dia de folga, mas para evitar estar todo o dia em casa, pensei que seria bom ir almoçar a algum sítio novo. Portanto, fui a um sítio novo em Flagey, chamado Ami. É um pequeno restaurante adorável onde servem sopas quentes, sanduíches, hambúrgueres e tostas. Comida saudável com produtos frescos e de qualidades, perfeito para uma alimentação equilibrada, oferecendo também opções vegetarianas e sem glúten. Têm menus já definidos, por exemplo, 1 sopa + 1 sandes pequena por 6.90€. Foi o que eu pedi: sopa de abóbora e uma sanduíche com tomate, legumes grelhados e queijo parmesão. Estava delicioso! O serviço é muito bom e rápido, por isso foi a pausa para almoço perfeita!

Plaisirs d'Hiver

It's finally December. So weird to think that another year is almost over... Luckily it's Christmas season and therefore, the Christmas Markets have begun!

Another winter in Brussels walking between all the lights, smells, mulled wine, yummy food and entertainment in this new edition of the Christmas Markets. The city centre is now so crowded with curious locals and tourists, checking every stall for the perfect mulled wine, new ideas for gifts, Christmas decorations and lights, a delicious meal to enjoy with friends while strolling down the Grand Place. It looks even more beautiful now with all the light effects and the big Christmas tree. I love this time of the year... I still have 15 days, before I fly back to Portugal, so now's the time to start buying Christmas gifts!

É finalmente Dezembro. Que estranho pensar que mais um ano está prestes a terminar... Felizmente, é época de Natal e, portanto, os Mercados de Natal já começaram!

Mais um Inverno em Bruxelas, caminhando por entre as luzes, aromas, vinho quente, comida deliciosa e entretenimento nesta nova edição dos Mercados de Natal. O centro da cidade está tão cheio de pessoas locais e turistas curiosos, verificando cada cabaninha à procura do vinho quente perfeito, novas ideias para presentes, luzes e decorações de Natal ou uma refeição deliciosa para disfrutar com amigos enquanto passeiam pela Grand Place. Esta está agora ainda mais bonita com todos os efeitos de luzes e a enorme árvore de Natal. Eu adoro esta altura do ano... Ainda tenho 15 dias antes de voar de volta para Portugal, por isso agora é o momento para começar a comprar prendinhas!
